Sports Performance
Rehabilitation programs have also been proven extremely effective to enhance sports performance and to prevent injuries. Wendy has worked with numerous athletes integrating Pilates rehabilitation and she believes the training is phenomenal for not only elite athletes but also the weekend warrior. Wendy also has additional Pilates training for rotational sports. She participates regularly in USTA tennis and has found Pilates has improved her game.
Wendy has also developed and participated in a conference on preventing ACL injuries in the female athlete for STOP Sports Injuries. The conference included speakers, Karen M. Sutton, MD, Attending Physician at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and Stephania Bell, MS, PT, OCS, CSCS Physical therapist who now works full time as an injury analyst and senior writer for ESPN.
